Roman Eremenko handed two years ban



CSKA Moscow midfielder Roman Eremenkohas been banned for two years after testing positive for cocaine.
UEFA announced the Finland international’s A sample found traces of a banned substance following the Champions League match between Bayer Leverkusen and CSKA on September 14.
An official statement read: “The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) has notified today its decision in relation to PFC CSKA Moskva player, Roman Eremenko.
“The Finnish player has been suspended for 2 years from all competitions, following the positive result of a doping control test in competition undergone by the player after the UEFA Champions League group stage match between Bayer 04 Leverkusen and PFC CSKA Moskva played on 14 September 2016 in Germany.”
