Bundesliga star agrees terms with chelsea

Chelsea are apparently in the front seat to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu in the New Year. The Turkey international has been previously linked with a Premier League move with Manchester United.

According to Turkish source Haberturk, the Blues have already agreed on personal terms with the exciting playmaker, and it only remains for the club to negotiate a transfer sum with Bayer Leverkusen.

Calhanoglu, who is mostly likened to Arsenal star Mesut Ozil, has impressed one and all with his free-kick taking abilities at the Bundesliga outfit. However, his sluggish start to the new campaign has cost him a regular place under Roger Schmidt, and this is something the Blues are looking to take advantage of in the winter transfer window.
