Female Genital mutilation parties are taking place in UK , a charity has warned.
More and more girls have been subjected to the illegal practice has nurese have been flowing ion from Africa to carry out the procedure.
According to the Black Health Initiative in Leeds, nurses are coming to the UK to carry out the illegal procedure on girls.
They also claim that a celebration is also thrown by the family of the girls.
The charity show concern after NHS figure show that over 8,000 girls have undergone the illegal procedure.
Chief executive of the Black Health Initiative, Heather Nelson said " we know of parties happening here in England, and West Yorkshire, we recently break one and also stop one form happening.
Female Genital mutilation involves the partial or full removal of the external genitalia without medical reasons ,according to World Health Organization.
It's a very painful procedure and can also leads to infertility in female. Most people that have undergone the process usually have problem with urinating .
It is mostly pratice in Africa Middle East and Asia.It is mostly done at infantry to age 15.
According to the World Health Organization, over 200 million female alive today have suffered the procedure.
