Arsenal eyeing Madrid goalkeeper

Arsenal reportedly want to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak as Petr Cech’s replacement.

The 23-year-old has developed into one of Europe’s finest keepers at the Vicente Calderon and a host of top European clubs are said to be keen on acquiring his services.

However, Goal say Atleti are unwilling to listen to any offers for the goalkeeper, meaning Arsenal would have to meet his €100million release clause to sign him.

Arsenal’s opening bid will be significantly less than that amount, though, meaning Oblak is likely to stay at Atleti for the foreseeable future.
