United need consistency, says United star

Juan Mata says Manchester United are in desperate need of a winning run.

The Red Devils slumped to successive Premier League stalemates at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon after a 1-1 draw with West Ham United.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic cancelled out Diafra Sakho’s first-half opener but the 20-time English champions couldn’t conjure a winner in the second half.
Jose Mourinho’s side have only won two of their last 10 Premier League games to leave Manchester United off the pace in the title race.
The Red Devils are 11 points behind leaders Chelsea and eight points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal after 13 Premier League games.
Mata, who captained Manchester United in their 1-1 draw with West Ham, discussed what Mourinho’s side need to do to kick-start their 2016-17 campaign.
“So far in the Premier League, though, we haven’t found that consistency, that winning streak that is so much needed and that we’re working so hard to achieve,” Mata wrote in his blog One Hour Behind.
“When we seem to be close to a victory, it just slips away… I’m talking mainly about the Premier League games at Old Trafford, which is even more upsetting because playing in front of our fans is an extra, and that’s how we feel.”
Manchester United will host the Hammers for the second time in four days in the League Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
