Pepe sign new deal

Real Madrid star Pepe has turned down a move to the Premier League after agreeing a new contract to stay with the Spanish giants.

Portugal defender Pepe, 33, attracted interest from Chelsea and Manchester Cityduring the summer.

But Real Madrid have offered him a two-year deal which is likely to be announced shortly.

Pepe moved to the Bernabeu from Porto in 2007, he previously came through the ranks at Portuguese side Maritimo.

The Brazilian-born defender has made 11 appearances for club and country so far this season, but is not fit for the visit to Lisbon
