Man faces two–count charge for allegedly raping his lover
A 30– year old man named Hammed Abubakar, appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief magistrates ' court on Monday, in Lagos for allegedly raping is 18–year old girlfriend.
The accused wis facing two–count charges of forcefully sexual intercourse and assault.
The prosecutor Sargent Kehinde Olatunde told the court that the accused committed the crime on December 12 at Number, 8 Adeshina Ajangbadi, in Lagos.
Kehinde said the accused had forced himself on one Damilola Obasa to have sexual intercourse with her.
He also said the victim had injuries on her head, right hand and vaginal as a result of the crime.
The offences contradicted section 171 and 258 of the Criminal law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, however pleaded not guilty to the crimes.
The magistrate, Mrs Bola Folarin Williams, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The magistrate adjorn the case to January 18.
