Victor Lindelof has signed for Manchester United

Over recent weeks, reports linking Victor Lindelof to Manchester United have gone off the charts.

On Tuesday, the Portuguese press are now talking in the past tense about this done deal.

Swedish defender Victor Lindelof will be officially presented as a Manchester United player when the January transfer window opens.

Victor Lindelof’s Manchester United shirt number revealed

Manchester United will pay 45 million euros for Lindelof and he will wear the number 2 shirt.

United will pay 40 million euros up front, with five million euros in incentives.

In recent seasons, Benfica have sold Renato Sanches (Bayern Munich), Bernardo Silva (Monaco), João Cancelo (Valencia), Ivan Cavaleiro (Monaco) and André Gomes (Valencia) for a total of 95.7 million euros.

Lindelof’s move to Manchester United will be the biggest fee ever received by Manchester United.

Nelson Semedo has also signed for United

There is also confirmation today that Benfica right back Nelson Semedo has also agreed a deal to join Manchester United.

Semedo will complete the season at Benfica but president Luís Filipe Vieira was not prepared to let two defenders leave in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old has also been watched by Bayern Munich and Barcelona but United seem to now have the advantage.

Nelson Smeedo has a contract with Benfica until 20121 and a termination clause of 45 million euros.
