Ronaldo breaks another record for Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo has broken yet another record, becoming the first player to score 30 or more goals in seven La Liga seasons.
The Real Madrid forward’s penalty against Sporting Gijon made it 30 league goals for 2016 to mean he’s now managed the feat in every year since 2010 – the year after he signed from Manchester United.

As if to highlight his ridiculous talent and consistency the 31-year-old then added a second goal in just the 18th minute to make it 10 La Liga goals in as many appearances this season.

The records continuing to tumble. Ronaldo has also reached 50 goals in a calendar year for the 6th year in succession – a statistic that includes both goals for Real and Portugal.
His remarkable goal scoring prowess is shown by the fact he now has 500 goals across his club career for Sporting Lisbon, United and Real.

For a man that is driven by success of all kinds, these kinds of personal landmarks bare great significance, especially as Ballon d’Or once again comes around.
“My goal is to win the Ballon d’Or every year and I didn’t last time,” he said recently, as reported by Eurosport.
“I hope to win it this time around.”
