Chelsea set to offer defender a new deal.

Chelsea have offered highly-rated young defender Fankaty Dabo a new long-term deal.

The Stamford Bridge club want to tie down England U20 international Dabo, whose contract is up next summer.

The Londoners then plan to loan out the defender in January with Dutch outfit Vitesse Arnhem among a clutch of interested clubs.

Full-back Dabo, who turned 21 last month, has made nearly a 100 appearances for Chelsea’s youth teams and is tipped for a big future by academy staff.
